God is a good God. Things are going great. Its been
awesome to have the trainings start and go so well. We will be starting the
3rd training soon. Unfortunately all the
medical students are taking exams right now and so cant accompany me, but
hopefully soon they will be able to do that and then start training on their
own. That said, the shelters all seem to have an educator and so it would be
easy to train the educator in a separate forum with just them being trained. I
love that everyone is helping me with the curriculum, I feel so blessed!!!
As for the center, maybe, just maybe it might finally
take off this Friday. For some reason something always goes wrong with the start
date, but please pray for it to take off finally! Last Friday Michael and I
planned to go to our beer garden and that same day L, the really interested girl
called! Twice. So we went and told them we will start Friday. They are to get
back to me with the dates. I am so excited! But there was something in her face
that didnt look the same as before, so I dont know what is going on but I was
too tired that day to ask.
As for the person who was told me she had tried to cut
herself and was having those feelings. I think the last of the blade is in my
possession. She seems to be doing much better. We have made a deal where she is
to right down one good thing God has done for her that day before she sleep and
pray so that she doesnt have nightmares. Also she is supposed to stay happy all
day J It seems to be working. She is smiley and
happy looking since our latest talk.
I have been wanting to watch a movie at the movie
theater and Serah won the water drinking competition at her house and so she
took me as her guest! I had planned to go with my Sri Lankan friends when one
got back but God took me earlier! Madagascar 3, sweet popcorn and coke. I dont
think I will do the latter 2 next time, but it was fun!
I finally got a curtain up and the room is a lot
darker! I wont be getting up without an alarm anymore! J Scary and good thought! :)
I also finally found a church I like and that speaks
to me. Its one I have been to before a couple of times, but since I went back
last week, everything about it speaks to me, down to the pre-sermon beatitude
they discuss. So I am happy. That was my prayer request this time when I was in
Seattle. It was so great to be in church again that I really wanted it for when
I went back to Cambodia. God is sooo good!
