Testimonies of God's goodness from church

I got a call from customs saying I had ordered illegal stuff. I hadn't ordered anything. I talked to a lawyer and prayed. I went there and a different customs officer talked to me. That person knew me. He was surprised to see me. He said there is no way you could have done this. He found out who did it. The customs officer cleared my name and my company's name! Anything could have happened but God brought the right person.

My hands and arms and legs hurt so much. I was getting prayer but nothing was happening. Two students saw me getting prayer. I wanted a car ride because I could barely walk but they aren't my students so i just prayed and asked God. while i was just asking God, the students asked if I wanted a ride and God healed my pain too!! He answered even before I was done!

I bought a motorcycle. I didnt have money for it. God sent a friend to loan me money for it and I was able to pay him back and fix it and now can sell it at a profit.
I was learning to drive and it was really hard for me. But through prayer God taught me how and i got a great job and even was able to buy a house!! I prayed for 2-3 of my friends and they were able to get good jobs too!

My son had a bad stomach ache and so I couldn't go to church. I prayed and God healed him. 

We had some land problems but I prayed and God got us a great land with all the right papers.

My husbands foot was hurting. He asked me to pray and he got healed.
I had appendix surgery and i was in pain, so I prayed and was healed.

I got a Vodafone connection for my cell phone. I had gotten it before for 20 days and they had all these extra charges. I asked them to end the plan end and they said not for 3 months. So I was frustrated, and i said I won't pay and didn't. I knew I was on the blacklist. But now a year later, it has a great plan. I went to my work to get the Vodafone connection and they said if Vodafone asked for the old money I would have to give it. I said ok... Praise God it all the fees were waived and I have my new connection!

Thus week, I messed up at work and lost 14 million pounds at work. I was sure I would get fired. All my hard work for 1 1/2 years would be lost. I prayed and said God if it is my fault or not, let me not get fired. Everyone would say just accept you did wrong. I would say no. My boss who loves me wouldn't look at me. My peers were giving false testimonies of me doing bad work. But my boss stood up for me and said that upto now i had done great. I don't know how, God has saved me and I didn't even get a warning.

So I have had this small desire to stay longer in india.  But I was getting excited to leave and even made plans for the day after I arrived, but just prayed and said, "God whatever is your will."  It made the most sense to leave and so I booked my ticket, but last night there was talk about staying and this morning it was decided.  To benefit a few people, I changed my ticket.  :)

I prayed for my studies because I was never good at them and this time I was 2nd in class!

I had diarrhea and was healed after prayer

My foot got cut and I prayed and it got healed. Also my stomach hurt at night and I prayed and it got healed

I had a headache and I prayed and it got healed and my knee got hurt and I prayed and it got healed.
My toy top flew and hit a friend on his head and he started bleeding and I prayed and he was ok. 

It was raining and I prayed and it stopped. I needed to photocopy something at the store and the electricity left and so I prayed and when I went to the store, there was electricity and I got my photocopy. 

My throat hurt and I prayed and it got healed.

I don't know how to make crafts and our teacher assigned us to do an art project. I asked my sister to help and she wouldn’t and I prayed to God and he helped me make a great project that the teacher loved.

I couldn't come for a while to church and I prayed and I got to. 

I couldn't go to school and the teacher was mad. So I prayed and the next time I couldn’t make it, the teacher was sick as well.

Cable TV wasn't working and I prayed and it started working

A dog bit me and it hurt and I prayed and it stopped hurting.

Adults year in review
I started coming cause I heard Jesus does a lot of miracles. We had a lot if difficulties. My husband’s brothers had a fight and split the business. We had to take loans. But with every difficulty came a solution. Now the brothers are wanting to reunite. Because of the split thought our kids became independent and started learned how to run their own business. My daughter had bad grades but she got admission into a great college after prayer. I used to think, why do problems only happen in my life. But God has better plans than we could imagine! We got a new factory and get to go back to old as well. The kids are independent and grown up now. Our faith has grown so much.

I fought with my wife and she left. I prayed for an hour and he brought her back.
I used to work for someone else and I started a new business and really enjoy it.
I had to payback a loan to someone of Rupees 25000 in 20 days, but as He has before, even though it seemed impossible, he got me the money to give back my loan!

When I started going to church my face was paralyzed. That is why I started coming 3-3 1/2 years ago. I used to think only poor people believe. My friend brought me and I got healed. I haven't gotten sick or needed medicine since that time!
I am not that good in studying but praise God thanks to him I have finished my college graduation in 4 years. My friends took longer. After graduation, it was really hard to find a job. My parents didn't like me sitting at home not working. They were telling me to stop believing in Jesus, since I didn’t have a job, but I got a job and it was better than I could have thought possible.
God blessed me while I had it. For example, I had to go to a site but had only 500 rupees ($10) for a months expenses. Praise God, my boss changed the place and even paid me during the time I was there as well as for travel, so I never spent the 500!
Another time, my motorcycle for stuck on the freeway and no one stops when this happens. But a man offered to give a ride and tow us and when I turned around to say thank you to him, he was gone. Even my coworker said he has never seen anyone stop to help on that highway, but God sent someone for me!
I recently quit my job. I wasn’t getting paid and I was getting money the wrong way to pay those below me in the company. But in church I learned that you should do things to lift God’s name high. This wouldn't do that and I couldn't sleep. So I left 2 months salary and my job. Better to lose money and a job than do the wrong thing and dishonor God. 

We went to the beach and didn't want to get tanned. I prayed and none of us got tanned.

I have started asking God for things since I started coming to church. Before I thought I had to give to God to get but now I just ask. I had land that was stuck and God gave it to me and got rid of all the hassles of those trying to falsely take it from me.

In the last year God has changed so much in my life. My kids always liked to spend my money and never did anything. I worked and served them, but God is so good. Now, they don't waste money and they help me. For example, instead of buying only for themselves, they bought something for me first and then themselves. Just like I am so happy with my kids doing good, when we follow God and do His will God is so happy.

My husband is really troublesome and it's hard but coming to church has given me so much joy.

I was afraid to testify because my husband and I were going to get a divorce. All I could do was cry. I said God give me strength me. I didn't even go to church. But I prayed and asked God for strength. God said small things happen and so don’t worry about the small things and everything has changed in my mind and everything is better in my house now.

My niece fell down off the roof. My mother law said you believe in Jesus. Do something. I prayed and she was healed! 

My nephew used to swear a lot. I brought him to church. And now he is a good boy. His mother used to be against me and say who knows where she is going on Sunday morning, but now she is happy that I go and encourages me to go. 

Coming to church has increased my family so much! I used to get angry so fast but don't as much. Also we were involved in business with some bad people and God got rid of them for us. Saturday we had a party for the kids but it had been hailing and it was outdoors. God stopped the bad weather and everyone had fun. 

I was sad cause my mom was having an operation. I was sad that my precious mom might die. The operation went really well!

Water was getting filled in the house. The spices we sell were at work and I told him to go get them so they would be safe. He didn't go. I prayed!! And eventhough my husband didn’t go God kept them safe. 
My husband broke his foot and I prayed and he healed him!!

My kid fell 30 feet. My husband said “you go to church. See what good it did.” I went down stairs and took him to a Christian hospital and they said he can't survive. He has brain damage. I prayed and he started moving. When the doctors saw this they sent him to a specialized hospital! There they X-ray and MRI him and found nothing wrong at all, not even a broken bone!! The doctors were amazed and I was able to share that it was God who healed him. Praise God!! Miracle from God!!!

I was crossing after getting off the bus. I crossed and a car came speeding across and I almost got hit, but I got saved! I was thinking. This guy needs to get caught! And to my surprise a policeman started going after him and to my surprise actually caught him. So I was amazed how God made my thoughts a reality!

Only 6 days left in india! Things are going great! The team continues to do a lot of good work without me.  We are seeing another 1000 students in the next couple of days and teaching them about tooth brushing, deworming, hygiene, fire and helmet safety.  We'll be giving them all tooth brushes and tooth paste as well as deworming them :) I feel so blessed to be working with such wonderful medical students!!! 
The center is continuing to thrive though we are still looking for a native speaker. If you know of anyone interested in volunteering let me know!! 

I can't believe I am leaving India so soon! I have been really bad about writing what has been going on, so since I will be busy again tomorrow I thought I would recap the highlights that I missed.  For those of you who are friends on Facebook you have been seeing pics.
On Dec 23rd we had the big christmas sweater passing out.  This originally started because my family noticed that the poor kids who came for after school tutoring or to church didn't always wear sweaters despite the cold or did one day and not another.  Upon learning that they had no sweaters or only one, that if being washed couldn't be worn, they decided to provide sweaters.  It started off small. I think we gave out about 200-300, the next year it was around 600, the year after it was over 900 and we were turning people away because our front yard couldn't handle all the kids.  So the next year we moved to a community center for the distribution.  Every year the sweaters get better and better and now they are quite nice :)
So this year we found out my sister couldn't make it. She usually runs the show that day, but my Mom would have to do it with all of us helping.  Every year we have the kids perform.  THey are all from the slums and it's their big day to shine in front of all the people who come.  Usually we max out at around 700 because of space.  But for these kids they have never had so many people watching a performance they are in! They love it and we have to put strict rules on who can be part of it so that the cast doesn't keep growing.  :)  In the early years we could always add one more, but now I have 6-7 shepherds, 7-10 angels, 3 innkeepers and  we actually had to buy more cloth for the costumes.  That said, we are such softies :)  The plays went great.  All 60 kids knew their parts well. Raahil my nephew did the beggar role that none of the kids wanted to do and got a loud handclap.  He got made fun of a lot but he loved it.  Arshana got to be the narrator for my play.  So the kids were actively involved in everything.  This year someone donated extra money so we had a snack for each of them as well :) So tickets were collected, sweater size called out, food given, candy given, sweater put on and child let out.  All the things you learn over time.  No ticket, no sweater (or else kids re-enter and take more than 1), put the sweater on them or else older kids steal their sweaters.  Learn to call the size or else people complain later that got one that was too big or small.  But we are still learning.  Next year, meeting before hand with agenda or when the adults should come back stage to help and their pre-assigned roles :) That said, everything went smoothly.  Everyone understands the rules and so everything goes on with joy :)

My cousin's kid accidentally showed up with his wife that day instead of Christmas for the feeding of the poor :) what a great mistake.  I hadn't met his wife, so it was wonderful to get to meet her and spend time with her.  After that the boys from the delhi church hung out and my older sister got to impart her wisdom to them :) she loved it and they loved it.

Two days later the big christmas feeding. the day before we heard the guy going around on the rickshaw announcing the feeding of the poor at our house for the next day.  I have always heard that it is done but never seen it so was happy to get a chance to see it live.  My family started feeding the poor in our city long long ago.  I grew up doing it from a young age.  You  have your big bucket and you give it out.  You learn not to touch the scoop to the plate so as not to contaminate the food.  You burn your hands as you  hand out hot pooris to the people.  You learn 4 for the adults and 2 for the kids.  Every year i love being out there and helping, but last time I realized there are so many helpers now that people are fighting to help.  So this year I decided to supervise and take pictures and let those who haven't done it get a chance.  Arshana my niece was there from the beginning to end.  One of the girls from church instead of eating, just helped and then ate with us inside later :) We were actually thinking about stopping. The local gurdwara and mandir  have started feeding the poor as well and last year only a few hundred showed up to eat, so we were thinking if the turnout is small again, maybe it's time to concentrate on other things.  But there were 1000 who showed up.  We actually had to make extra food because we ran out! So praise God! That was an obvious answer as to what to do :)

The next few days were busy with my friends visiting from out of town.  I was supposed to get married this winter in india, but delayed things and so we had a venue, friends, a pastor all set and in india.   My older sister had her 20th wedding anniversary while there so we just turned everything into a big renewal of their vows.  I think it made her year :) she was so happy.  Last minute even clothes and everything worked out.  Her daughter hates shopping for indian clothes. She is very particular.  But we even got an outfit for her the day before the event.  Everyone looked beautiful.

After new years we went to Delhi and handed out sweaters in a slum.  My friends had missed the big one so I was really glad they got to be part of the small one.  I think one of them started to believe in God that day cause she prayed and she said, God if my son's stomach ache is healed, I will believe in you and after prayer it was!  :)  We have been praying for her to believe for over 3-4 years!! So yay!

speaking of which.  One of the boys here who considers me a big sister had me talk to his friend.  She had all these questions about God and so I just said, ask God to show you the truth of if he is real.  He did and she started to believe! Is that cool or what? hehe! So simple :) and so God!

Everything in cambodia is going great too! The students have been doing the deworming/hygeine/safety training in the schools and have reached over 1000 kids while I have been gone! 

Lots of little things.  just yesterday I was thinking I should have bought a black indian outfit,.  So we go shopping for some just indian shirts but I found a really pretty black indian outfit.  Also, I have been eyeing a blue and white one for a while, but its never felt like it's just like I want it.  Well guess what! found one today exactly like I want and for the price!!  And the 3rd thing I wanted in the color and for the price I wanted, i got too! :) Ask and you will receive and don't settle for anything but what is the best and truly in your heart  :)  I think too many times we settle too early and think we won't get anything better, but waiting for just what you want and not saying this is good enough brings you such joy.  :)

been reading the bible and praying more.  amazing what a difference that makes in your life.  trying to get through it in a year! And to top it all off, i have been exercising! hehe!  the eating healthy part will just have to come later :)

Testimonies from the kids in church ages 5-15

I prayed that there would be peace in my house. My dad used to drink and hit us with a stick. I prayed (5-6years old) and he was healed.

My pen wasn't working and I prayed and it started to work

My stomach was hurting and I prayed and it got healed. My ear was hurting and I prayed and it got healed.

There was a cricket match of india vs Pakistan and I prayed that india won and India won!

I was filling water for the family and after doing that went to play instead of going home with the water first. I prayed my mom would yell and hit me and my mom didn't!

My friend lost his money. I prayed and i found it.

I was going to school and was running late. I prayed and i actually got there early. Also I fell of the stairs and I hurt my head I prayed and was healed.

I burned my fingers (5-7 year old) and I prayed and was healed

My friend gave me money to hold. But I lost the money. I prayed and found the money and was able to give it back to him.

My foot was hurt and I prayed and it was healed.

I was coming to church and my brother fell off the bicycle and was hurt. I prayed and he got healed.

Last week there were sweaters given out in church and I missed. I prayed with my friend and came and although the rules say sweaters only to to the ones who come at the day and time they are given, a miracle happened and aunty gave me one

Year in review testimonies from the adults
2012 was special for me. I wasn't ready to get married but I got married. I thought I wanted to do a few things, further my career and stuff. But I got married and God gave me a great wife. While preparing for the wedding there were many problems but God worked them all out.
In terms of my job/career, God has really blessed me. I took over my dads business this past year and I have learned a lot and things and things are going smoothly.
16 years go I started praying for my family to believe and in this year they have started to open up to God!
This year I grew a lot in God. I really wanted to learn about the bible and prayed and God has been teaching me as I read the bible. Before I couldn't understand anything but now I understand so much! 

We went on vacation and my daughter was sick but God healed her and we enjoyed the trip. My mother in law needed a knee transplant. We prayed and now she is healed without it.
We wanted a porche and it was stuck and wasn't coming to us. We were in a long line but after prayer God got us our car before others ahead of us!

We have had a business deal stuck for two years. We prayed and it went through!

I had really bad neck pain so I called during bible study and everyone prayed and I got healed right then!
I got back pain and my brother prayed for me until I was totally healed!
I had tailbone pain for years and after prayer was healed.
I wanted to get gold and god asked me "what rate do you want!" It's the first time God talked to me in such real way through my thoughts. 
I wanted a friend to call me. I kept dialing the number and kept feeling like God was saying that I shouldn't. Finally he just audibly said it! It was the first time I really heard God in such a clear way. And if you think that was great! It's gotten better.
In June my cousin was getting married and we had a lot of preparations to make. We kept telling our dad to do things and he kept saying he would but wasn't. when the time came nothing had happened. My mom and dad started fighting and I thought we wouldn't be able to go. I was crying and kept crying and praying. And from inside God was saying read the bible. I didn't understand why. That wouldn't solve the problem. In the morning when I was complaining again to God, He said the same thing many times very patiently while listening carefully to all I was saying. Then he said, "shhh! I will never let you break or fall." I saw a glass fall and it didn't break. Then he told me to read the bible and from that point on I have been able to read the bible. Before that I was never able to read it and now i do regularly :) 

The bible says ask and you will receive but I think you will get way more. I never thought my son would get married. We used to get prayer and all of the sudden we got news of someone coming to see our son and they liked him! My son hadn't been wanting to get married but even he said yes right away. I just retired so was worried about finances but god more than provided everything! For example, my new daughter in law wanted to go to college. Admission was closed. But suddenly it opened again and she was able to start her studies.
I got dengue and my platelets were down to 20,000!!! I got admitted to the hospital. I prayed and without a transfusion it rose to 100,000!!! 

God always listens to and answers our prayers. I had lots of ups and downs but he was there to help me. I saw a leaflet on the front/bonnet of my car. I went home - about a 30km drive. It was still there when i got home and when i looked it wasn't a leaflet but a book- the bible. I started reading it.
The next day I got a call saying I got selected for a job. I hadn't had a good job for 3 years. They gave me a much better pay than I expected. 
My sister in law was getting married. Everything was great but it started to rain. It was an outdoor venue and the rain stopped after prayer.


I got really sick and tried to self treat and took meds from a doctor. I felt faint, nauseous and had a fever. Nothing was helping and I finally prayed. The next day I was shocked that I was so good and thought why didnt i pray earlier!

God has done so much in my life! During my exams I had 3-4 days in between My exams. Normally i need more time and even that isn't enough. But this time i would get done reviewing in 2-3 days. Before I also couldn't write enough on the essays.But now I don't have enough pages to write on!
I had a kidney stone and I needed an operation. The day befor the operation it came out on its own!

I was going to delhi with my mom and she got in the train and it started going without me and my sister. But God stopped the train and we were able to get on and we found my mom
My dad needed an operation and we didn't have money but with prayer God healed him without an operation.

When I first came to church, I often had to lie to come cause my parents didn't like it. Now my mom gets me warm water to bathe in ready so that I can go to church on time!
I didn't used to like to study. I liked to just party. As soon as I got into college God came into my life and changed and I am doing sooo well!! I used to need help -tutoring- but this time I prayed to God to be able to do it myself and i did great on my exams without any tutoring!
My brother had a kidney atone. The doctor said he needed ann operation maybe. We prayed and another doctor said its just a pulled muscle!
We got a debit card and lost the pincode. We went to the bank and they wouldn't help us. We prayed and were having chai and there it was with the snacks
My dad had my pen drive and it got washed and dried and was lost. I was upset and sad. I prayed and said God please find it and it was found at the ironers!! 

My mom went to the doctor with breat pain and she had a lump. She had breast cancer before. We were praying that it wasn't a recurrence. They did a biopsy, it was just a cyst! So my mom is fine! Praise God!

I couldn't find a job and got prayer and got a job!
My wife had a tumor in her back and we got prayer in church and she got healed.

Well, God is good! I can't believe it's been so long since I wrote! But God is great.  I will keep it short cause it is late and I need to sleep and will catch you up on the rest of the stuff later but I'm super excited about what has happened in two people's lives. I found out yesterday and thought I would share what they wrote

One is a person I had the pleasure of getting to see come to God when I worked at IHS for 6 weeks.  I had a great time there and its been a blessing to see how God has been working in his life since I left.  I'll just cut and paste his email to me

Here is what happened.  I worked as long as I good at the clinic.  I lost so much weight, I was down to 145 lbs.  (I have documentation hehe)  When you knew me I weighed about 175-180 lbs.  So to get straight to the point.  I was not doing well physically, my WBC was high.  Also I was not doing well money wise.  Bills were beginning to pile up.  I could not work anymore.  I put in for disability retirement.  It was approved.  I quit going to work but I had to live 5 months without any income.  I went into debt for about $25,000.  It is amazing how fast the bills can pile up.  It cost about $150 a trip to go to Spokane to Cancer Care Northwest.  So as I told you, I contacted Senator Murray and after my 18 month struggle with the VA the Senator was able to get my benefits approved in 30 days!  I told you this but I have not yet told you how great my blessing was.
 
Are your ready?  Are you sitting down?  The VA paid me $53,000!  Praise be to God!  $53,000 was deposited into my checking account.  The VA is paying me $2,900 per month!  I will get the monthly benefit as long as I am in a treatment phase or the disease is active?  (whatever that means...that's the VA's statement).  So, I am not rich as I have a lot of debt to pay off.  Not only my own but Heidi brought a few thousand of debt of her own into the marriage.  But I figure God has given us this money to pay off our debts and we will be blessed with having a large amount of cash afterwards.  I was able to have the money to pay Kevin for his officiating our marriage, paying our "per capita dues" to the Church and having money to throw in the offering. And VA compensation is tax free!  The IRS can not count it.  Nor can anyone else.  Not only that but I get to keep my disability retirement of $1,238 per month.  So now my income is $4138.00 a month.  I went from being poor to rich.  "He reached down from high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters, he rescued me... (Psalm 18: 16,17)  
 
I have no idea what happened.  My life is turned around.  I still have cancer, it is not going away.  I am scheduled to have treatment every other month for the next 18 months.  But I am beginning to understand God's plan for me.  I do not understand the whole picture, only parts of it.  H, my wife is a part of it.  God put us together to help each other.  I do not know how much longer I will live or what God wants me to do, but I am doing work for God just by going to Church.  H has a 9 year old son who lives with his father.  The father has custody.  The boy, R wants to live with his mother.  He comes to visit every other weekend.  We take him to Church.  R loves it.  He would not go up front with the other Children for Pastor's children message.  I got him to conquer his fears and now he goes up front every other Sunday.  He calls me dad.  He cries every Sunday when we have to take him home.  So maybe this is God's plan for me.  Re-unite mother and son, within the blessings of a Church family, leave them lots of money, and then die.  Or maybe I am to live to a ripe old age to teach my family.  I know this, my testimony is amazing.  

Pretty cool!!! God is so powerful! The next email is from a friend of mine from Japan.  When I was a missionary there I was involved in the start of an international kindergarten.  We started a bible study for the moms and one by one they all came to God. But Y didn't.  She would meet with me as often as I was in town and loved to hear stories, but something wouldn't let her believe.  But she came to india and God did something!!  We always used to wonder, what about Y and now hehe! :)

I had special experiences and I'd like to share my story with you.
Do you remember that I believe something which has huge power and controls everything but I don't know whether it is your God or not, and I need my own experience to believe. And it had happened. We went to the town for giving sweaters for poor people but my son, D had a stomach ache and couldn't eat and drink anything from that morning. When we arrive the place he couldn't stand up because of it. and then you and your mom prayed for him and I thought if he would get healed I would believe in God but nothing happen. after a while, The drama was about to start suddenly his stomach ache was gone and he played the bad guy like when he had beaten Caleb before. After the drama he ate McDonald's. Actually, I had doubted at first but when I was in the Taxi going to the airport I realized God is real. I felt I was led here by him. 

Pray for her.  There is a lot of negative stigma associated with those who believe in God in Japan - that only weak people do it because they need something to rely on.  Y comes from a very intellectual family but praise God!! God showed her what she needed!!!

There is so much more to update you about, but later! Must sleep now! just spent hours writing tax receipts! Computers are not my  strength but God helped me figure out how to put together my picture page and even compress it so I could email it out! :)  
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Philippians 4:13
