God is a good God. During class I discovered why one
of the girls in the beginning class was so good at her abcs. Cause she can
actually read!!! I moved her up to the advanced class J But she may be behind. We need more teachers!!! Pray
for teachers please! So after class Friday went shopping for Vaseline. So many
things to think about. So I was teaching on wound care and said we could
substitute Vaseline for antibiotic cream. But they were confusing it for
Vaseline lotion. Hehe! The other group had told me they knew what I was talking
about and so I asked them where to get it after the director assured me we were
talking about Vaseline jelly and hehe! NO, I went to two of those stores and
they dont have it J So everyone will have to buy
antibiotic cream J The bad thing in Cambodia is
that the antibiotic cream comes with hydrocortisone and antifungal medication as
well. Such a waste and its just creating resistance. Useless or potentially
harmful meds should be banned for the good of the world population. J
After that had a conversation with Miho and we did a
bible study. It was great! I love my skype bible studies with her. Shes one of
the rare people in Japan who is an independent thinker who loves God. She sees
stuff like it is and isnt afraid to call it out and I love it. And yet she is
so humble. J Shes gotten so good as questioning
she makes me back up and prove what I am saying hehe! I love it! :)
After that I was kind of bored. So I finished a
painting. I had been thinking I wanted to change it from the original from the
moment I started painting, but was going to stick with it as it was, but when I
looked at my finished product, hated it and changed it to what I had originally
thought. I think I have improved a lot as a painter. Not so stiff any more.
Hehe! Of course the process of painting with these paints was horrible. :) But I am starting to get the hang of it. About to
start on my second picture and its from my head :)
Drew it out last night in my boredom.
Watched Arthur Christmas and the perfect Barbie
Christmas and it was great. Work up on Saturday feeling well rested after a very
busy week. Actually was in go go go mode and so initially for 1 hour didnt know
what to do with myself. But then calls, emails etc started happening that I
wasnt able to do everything before church started. We had a bigger turnout than
I expected and it was fun, but I went way too long. Those of you who know me,
know when I start talking about God I cant stop and so although the message was
super short, I kept talking and talking hehe! One kid was falling asleep. One
girl was bored from the moment we started because she doesnt speak or understand
any English so didnt enjoy even the singing. :)
But we made a few changes. Michael now says the song line in khmer as I sing in
English and for Open the Eyes of my Heart, he actually sang the lines out so we
sounded pretty good :) heheh! Or a whole lot
better. I singing without a guitar. Reminds me of the olden day prayer meetings
my family used to have.
Then I went to see Spider man in 3D!!! Kettle corn
popcorn, motodop home and all in $10. Heheh! I have decided to do fun things
every weekend to help me be able to focus and not burn out! :)
Im glad I brought extra money with me this time :)
Came back from the movie ready to work! I love how breaks help us so much!! :)
So I today, although its Sunday , unless
something happens, I will be working away after church :)
