Today is my parents 43rd wedding anniversary! They are going out to lunch with my sister and some family at a 5 star hotel. Dad's having some difficulty coming up with a present for mom hehe! He's been giving her diamonds recently and has run out :)
So only 3 more days and I am on a plane to america! It's been go go go and I was so tired yesterday that I wanted to cry. I have been having more medical consults than I had planned and each consult eats up unplanned time and I love it but I get tired! :) But in all of it, God has a plan and a purpose! So Michael's english boss called and said he wanted to come over to discuss about his sister who I had heard had a venous clot in her brain and had gone to vietnam. I had heard she was fine now so I was wondering why he wanted to meet, but of course I said, "come" I was still cleaning the house and he came! but no Michael. So we sat chatting and while I was sitting there I saw somethign move. I thougth it was a lizard but it was a black scorpion! He saw it and told me to get back and used my outside broom to impale and kill it and tossed it in my mango tree. So I guess I won't be weeding until I come back :) But you know God is sooo good! So everytime there is something I need someone else to help me with, God sends me a brave guy to take care of my issue. When I had the huge spider Michael was there to remove it. When I had the mouse, my landlord was there to kill it and now when I had a scorpion, Michael's english boss was here! So praise God! In everything God has a reason and purpose! I love how He works!!! So I was able to make a call to singapore and help him and God certainly sent him to me to save me from the scorpion. I walk around in the dark and could have gotten stung. Please pray for my house. Too many critters. I don't like it and I am getting a little paranoid after this last episode of every creeply crawly thing I see move. But on the other hand it's so cool. So I am reading a book on my kindle about Mary slessor. I have never heard of her but one of my sister's must have dowloaded the book for me. I started reading it last week and I simply love it and don't want to put it down. This woman was amazing and almost single handedly changed a lot of the region of aftrica she was in. I was reading how she staying in places with rats and lizards heheh! I guess I am doing that too :) she had snakes, I have scorpions and God protects us both. heheh! Of course it's not the same. She risked her life and comfort everyday for those she wanted to share God with. I would really recommend anyone who wants to be inspired to read her biography. Simply amazing. I am not done yet but it can only get better!!
I have found this great new christian cafe that has openned up near my house. I can take my bike there. unfortunately I just got a flat and will need to fix it, but now I have a car and can work there. The employees there are sweet. Last time I spent 30 minutes just talking to one and it meant so much to her. She so wanted to talk that I didn't have the heart to tell her I had to wok. And in the grand scheme of things, I can always get my work done later but I can bless her today! So I am looking forward to going back. I asked God for a cheap cafe near my house and hehe! God did it! :)
Yesterday I was starting to feel bad for going to the rheas every day. So they were supposed to come but forgot and part of me was happy to have some time to rest but I was missing them and wanted to go. I needed a work break. and guess who called! So played pingpong and had a great time before heading home :)
So the outreach. We got there and there was no one there again! I couldn't believe it. But we called and the excited girl L, said she was going to shower and come.. So we waited in the heat and she came. Then she used my phone to call others and so we had 5, even an old lady who works show up. I shared about why I was there and then asked them about their dreams. two wanted to make-up hair people and two tailors. So I am thinking, um, how does this go along with what I can offer :) so then I just asked if anyone was interested in english classes and 3 raised their hands and I found out a couple who didn't come have already bought books! When I told them I was going to america for 4 weeks, L said, then we'll buy a book and start to learn. I am sooo excited!!!
I was wondering how we are goign to do the classes. Ask them to bring supplies, provide them, charge a little bit to make them feel invested or not. I just prayed in the morning and left it to God. I was too tired to do anything but trust him and when we talked everything happened just as I had hoped. I said God had given me His love freely and I wanted to give them that same free unconditional love and english clalsses was one way of doing that. :) So free english classes decided :) then for a notebook to write on and a pen or pencil I asked them to come prepared in one month with those things and they said sure. Everything just flowed so naturally and normally and everyone was happy! I am so excited! Part of me wants to do outreach into all the beer gardens now and the other part says wait till you come back :) What to do :) Leave it in God's hands I think is the right answer! :)
Thank you everyone for all your prayers, support and help. You have made the start of the center possible and I thank you for that!!! I really really appreciate it! God is soooo good! :)
Well off to help my second family with their homework once the rain stops. You know what I have realized, is that God really leads us so much more than we are willing to listen. hehe! He reminded me to take down the clothes this mornign and I didn't. Now they will be soaked when i get home. He told me to do the work I thought the girls would do but I didn't. hehe! So now i am behind, but heheh! i love how much a part of our lives He is and wants to be if only we will lislten, trust and obey! Speaking of which, for two weeks I have been feeling like my electricity bill should have come. I kept thinking check the mailbox eventhough it's always sticking out of the box. Well, guess whose electricity got cut off on friday! heheh! But praise God kimmy was able to figure out how to get it started again by saturday! :)
