I'm headed back to Cambodia. This trip was very very fruitful and a much necessary break! I was excited as I left Cambodia as to what God was doing and how everything was falling together. It seemed like the most inopportune time to leave, but yet also the best and I am soooo glad I came.
The first week was california and spending time with my new family and meeting a ton of people! The 2nd week was preparing the for wedding shower. It was full of surprises. I got to attend Jinyoung's engagement party which was a total surprise and then on top of that meet up with Tina and others that I hadn't seen in a while. I was sooo happy for how God worked that out. Cooking and preparing for the shower was really really fun! My family put so much time and thought and energy into it. My older sister had everyone performing and spent countless hours putting it all together. My little sister as usual was a great MC. Jane offered to take pics at the last minute and it was such a blessing - you can see them on Facebook! :)
Nolan stayed for a week and the time just flew by. During all of this of course was a constant nagging feeling of I am not getting my work done. But God is so good. Nolan left 2 days before I was to leave and so I woke up and prayed and what should have taken me weeks to accomplish God did in one day! With time to spare! So God is awesome! I am basically done with my curriculum. Just some formatting and it's a completed product. So my part is done. I can have all my wonderful helpers do it for me and I can concentrate on what I like to do - teaching in person! I am so excited. The centers are excited as well!
I was able to buy a bunch of things for starting the center - a beginning curriculum and materials :) Last minute shopping, Great talks with my niece and OH God is sooo good. Oh and yesterday Susie came by with medical supplies - the things I thought I would never get cause they are so expensive! Praise God! I had an empty suitcase and now it's full! I tell you! God is great! This times packing was so easy. I was ahead of schedule. No frantic packing t
So I am at the airport. The flight is delayed and may get stuck in korea, but lets see. If that happens it will be for a blessing. :) Truly all things work together for the good of those who put there trust in God.
Speaking of which, that was actually the best thing about this trip. Reconnecting with God. I have felt kind of dry and far away, just so busy and surviving. Being in church again and being surrounded by the million and one loving people in my family was amazingly good and refreshing and just what I needed. If you haven't taken time to, Be still and know that He is God, I would really recommend fit!
God Bless!!
ps: people are asking how they can volunteer, if you are interested now is the time! there is tons to do
