Arrived in PP yesterday! It's so good to be back. It feels just like home. It surprises me how although you aren't in a place or with people for a long time, relationships you forge really do last a lifetime. I love how much family I have all over the world. People of every nationality and various languages, but yet they are all family, just the way God intended.
The flight over was a surprise. My sister came with me on this trip. She was super nervous and our airline was not accommodating, in fact, it wasn't just not accommodating it went out of its way not to be. So that didn't make things better for my nervous sister. They told us the flight was full and after repeated asking finally revealed that there was a window seat I could switch too and allow my sister to put her feet up during the flight and have a restful flight (she's in a wheelchair and that really helps her). THe seats were super narrow (JAL style) and initially sitting squished in the corner wasn't appealing. But it turned out to be wonderful. As usual I had to talk to the person next to me. We chatted for a bit and then 5 minutes before the flight took off I was out. I had been burning the midnight oil and just had no energy left. I woke up for meals and unlike usual only watched one movie. But during a bathroom break my neighbor and I started talking again. And he said his brother is a physician in vietnam and may want to help with a camp! How wonderful is that! He also has friend who already do charity work! I just love how God works! We had a great chat about God and I felt so blessed to have sat next to him.
Landed in Taipei for a layover and we had a great time. Went all over the airport and took so many pictures! They have all these set ups that show you different sites in taiwan that if you take the pictures right it seems like you went everywhere.
Next leg they again hassled us and despite and empty flight didn't want to give us an empty seat between us in the front of the plane. The food was horrible and when my sister asked for snacks after a couple of packets they said they were out despite having a bunch. hehe! But we got a pack of cards and played and enjoyed ourselves anyways.
Got to the airport and michael was waiting! I had told him just to meet us at the hotel but I was so happy to see him and him being there was so helpful. We had to change rooms around and his translation skills were invaluable. Went to the travel agent and got our tickets. It was great! We saved about 200 dollars going through my old agent! :)
Had dinner at a new place and then got rained on :) my sister got to experience the rain coats on her first day! took pics and by 7 I was exhausted and ready for bed. hehe! At 8 when I finally got around to showering i was ready to fall asleep in the shower, but the draw back being I woke up at 3am and I still have 2 hours before breakfast! Off to vietnam, the royal palace, the center and fixing the car so we can sell it!! Pray that that goes well!!
